DreamCloud Mattress Review Best 12 Cool Memory Full Mattress
I’m super excited about today’s review since I’ll be having check out one of this newest beds on the market: the DreamCloud hybrid mattress.
This bad boy unites high-density foam with encased coils for a sleeping experience that promises to be lavish as it’s supportive.
To determine how well this hybrid lives up to this goal, I’ve put it through a series of tests to measure its overall relaxation and ascertain what kind of sleeper could benefit from it .

The DreamCloud features an astoundingly tall profile to get a mattress at a whopping 15 inches. The eight-layer structure is broken down into foam and wrapped coil parts, which operate in tandem to provide the sleeper with a firm innerspring lift and lots of comfortable pressure relief.
Given all of the distinct materials at play here, I am stoked to dive into these layers to see how well they interact together.
Cover: The cover is composed of a cashmere and polyester blend for a luxuriously soft texture up top. It also is quilted with memory foam, which provides the sleeper with instant pressure relief.
Foam Layers: Below the cover, you’ll locate three thin layers of foam. While these sections are soft to the touch and provide some satisfying sinkage, they also respond quickly to stress, so you won’t feel trapped in the mattress.
The center of the three layers is especially significant for the temperature regulation of the DreamCloud as it is comprised of perforated latex foam. Latex generally is great at dissipating heat, so the inclusion of these small ventilations promotes even more cooling.
Pocketed Coils: The bottom layer of foam transitions into the firmer support section of the mattress, which is composed of a pocketed coil system.
These individually wrapped springs provide the mattress excellent bounce and help to disperse motion throughout the structure.
The coils also assist in regulating temperatures as the distances between them allow for continuous air flow.
Foundation Layer: A thin coating of high-density polyfoam lies in the bottom of the mattress, with all the main use of cradling the pocketed coils and giving a solid foundation for the whole.
After taking a look at the construction of this DreamCloud, let’s chat about the firmness and feel.
My hands sunk into the material and I could feel some instantaneous pressure relief. Pushing in farther, I began to socialize with the pocketed coils below and experienced a nicelift from the springs.
At this point I’d like to note that individuals of different body types and shapes will feel firmness differently.
Rather than giving just my opinion on the overall firmness level of the DreamCloud, I enlisted three others to present their opinion as well.
This provides you a better awareness of the firmness range you can expect from the mattress.
I personally gave the bed a 7.5 and agree with the staying testers that it’s definitely a good mattress.
While you’ll feel some little sinking out of the plush foam top layers, the individually wrapped coils at the center will lift you from that bed and make you feel like you are sleeping on top of the mattress. Best 12 Cool Memory Full Mattress
Rather than just describing the feel of this DreamCloud for you, I wanted to supply a visual representation of where someone may feel pressure points contour while lying on it.
To do this, I put a pressure map on top of the mattress and lied on my backside, and stomach.
Back: Once on my back, my weight was evenly dispersed throughout the mattress, so I didn’t feel like I was sinking into the bed at all.
The quilted cover provided quality relief in my lumbar region and the pocketed coils helped to lift me from the bed and keep my spine in alignment.
Side: As you can see in the chart above, after I rolled onto my side, I began to feel pressure forming at my shoulders and buttocks.
However, I nevertheless felt supported and the top foam layers relieved what discomfort I felt in this place.
Stomach: Shifting over to my stomach, I thought the DreamCloud did a good job of lifting my hips up and from the mattress, which is key for stomach sleepers.
I if mention that I was able to transition across these positions with relative ease. Best 12 Cool Memory Full Mattress
Should you intend on sharing your bed with a spouse , you will want to know what it’ll feel like when another person crawls out of bed in the morning or tosses around at night.
This second test is intended to demonstrate the high level of motion that’s detectable from one side of the mattress into another.
To illustrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10 pounds. Steel ball from peaks of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and measured the disturbance it caused: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance. The DreamCloud shows a little bit of disturbance for the 4 inch drop, which simulates someone rolling around and adjusting their position on the contrary side of the mattress.
While the 8 and 12 inch drops series slightly bigger spikes, I’d nevertheless consider the mattress to be pretty good at isolating motion , as a consequence of its individually wrapped coils.
This means that you’re not likely to be overly disturbed by your mattress partner’s midnight shimmies, which makes this a great option for couples.
If purchasing a new mattress, many individuals wish to know whether they’ll sense like they’re sinking”into” the mattress or placing”on top” of it.
To picture this sinkage, I put four balls of varying sizes and densities (a 6 pound medicine ball, a 10 pound steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 pound medicine ball) on the mattress and quantified how far they compressed the surface.
The variations in size, density and weight are supposed to simulate different body parts and different sized sleepers.
- 10 pound steel ball: 2 inches of sinkage.
- 50 pound medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
- 100 pound medicine ball: 5.5 inches of sinkage.
As you’re going to experience some instant sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you may hit the wrapped coils and feel fantastic support.
This combo will attention a broad assortment of sleepers, but will suit back and stomach sleepers particularly. Best 12 Cool Memory Full Mattress
If you are likely to share your bed with a spouse and need to use the whole surface area of the mattress, and then it is going to be crucial that you consider the quantity of edge support it will provide.
I’m especially interested to see whether the DreamCloud will suffer the exact same fate as other compressed bed-in-a-box mattresses which fail to meet the border support of more conventional innerspring models.Lying on my spine, I felt as supported at the edge of the bed as I did at the middle .
Pressing closer to the side, I experienced a small compression because of the highest foam layers, but nothing too dramatic. Shifting to my side, I once again noticed compression in the foam layers, but it didn’t carry over into the wrapped coil system under.
This system, collectively with the polyfoam border support around the mattress, did a great job of supporting my weight. In this position, I wanted to simulate what it would feel like to be sitting on the bed in the morning when you’re lacing up your shoes and getting ready for the day. A good deal of foam mattresses experience intense compression in this position, but the DreamCloud actually held up fairly well.
