French Toast with Nutella, Brie, and Craisins
8 slices white bread
1/4 cup Nutella (more if needed)
1 Round of Brie
½ cup Craisins (dried cranberries)
1/4 cup milk
2 T plus a pinch of cinnamon
1 cup sugar
Make cinnamon sugar: mix 2 T cinnamon with 1 cup sugar
Preheat the griddle to 300 F.
Remove the crust from the bread. Using a rolling pin, slightly flatten the bread slices.
Spread the flattened bread with Nutella. Add a few slices of brie. Sprinkle with Craisins.
Carefully roll up the slices.
In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, milk and a pinch of cinnamon. Whisk well.
Lightly grease the griddle with oil and a paper towel. Dip the rolls into the egg mixture and place on the griddle with the seam down.
Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden. Remove from griddle and immediately roll into cinnamon sugar mixture.
Enjoy with a cop of coffee!
